It's an all-time record in the Telugu film industry. Bollywood actress Pariniti Chopra is all set to break the record of taking the highest remuneration ever paid to any actress on her debut in Tollywood.
Pariniti is playing the lead role alongside Mahesh Babu in his forthcoming film being directed by Murugadoss. Thus, she is making a debut in the South with this bilingual film being made in Telugu and Tamil simultaneously.
Apparently, Mahesh wanted her to be his heroine in the film and she had agreed to do a film with him. That way, Mahesh is lucky because many other Tollywood heroes could not succeed in brining Pariniti Chopra to act in their films as heroine in the past.
It is an open secret that heroines who are the top in Bollywood do not generally evince any interest in doing a South Indian film. But Pariniti is not a top heroine in Mumbai; perhaps that could be the reason for her to readily accept Mahesh Babu film.
However, sources say the main reason for Pariniti agreeing to do a South Indian film is the record remuneration offered to her, a whopping Rs 3.5 crore, which is the highest-ever charged by a Telugu heroine.
The biggest remuneration paid to any South Indian actress was Rs 3 crore, paid to Nayanatara, who has huge demand in Tamil film industry. Another actor Anushka Shetty, who is racing ahead in heroine-oriented movies, is charging anywhere between Rs 2 cr-Rs 3 crore.
So, we have to wait and see what speciality Pariniti will show in her film to justify the highest remuneration being paid to her.
