The reported collections of Baahubali have made South directors more ambitious than ever. They are now looking to scale higher peaks.
Tamil director Shankar’s last film was ‘I’. It released with a lot of expectations. But after watching the movie, the only question on the lips of his fans was ‘Why’? So disappointed were they with the movie.
Shankar is now planning to come back with a vengeance and is planning a sequel to ‘Robo’ with Rajnikanth in the lead role.
While there is talk of Vikram being considered for the role of villain, Shankar and others are said to be toying with the idea of roping in a Bollywood star for the villain’s role as this would improve the film’s prospects in Bollywood.
Apparently, Shankar intends the movie to gross around Rs 600 crore in all Indian languages. Now currently, that seems one hell of an impossible target. But who knows? Shankar can pull it off.
