Multi starrers are not now to Tollywood. But the pairing of the heroes should be apt on screen!
Also there are issues with fans complaining that their hero has not been given enough weightage or some other reason like one hero abusing the other as ‘Naa Kodaka’ on screen.
The pairing is important on screen like the one between Mahesh and Venkatesh in ‘Seethamma Vakitlo’. Now, a multi starrer of Nagarjuna and NTR Jr in the direction of Vamsi Pydapally is nearly confirmed.
But the pairing doesn’t seem right. Can they pass of as brothers or would they be like father and son? NTR is excellent with action episodes and dances. What will Nag do?
Even in the days of NTR and ANR who worked together for nearly nine films, such problems arose leading to fights between fans on occasions. But then, such incidents tended to be forgotten soon as both heroes belonged to the same community.
It is worthwhile mentioning here that multi starrers are also attempted in Tollywood only by heroes who hail from the same community.
Will this trend witness a change? In the past there was a plan to remake ‘Gundamma Katha’ with Balayya and Nag. That would have been an apt combination!
