A section of media is still speculating that the Telugu remake of Thani Oruvan has been called off. However we got concrete info from the highly placed sources that the project is very much on.
As per our sources, Thani Oruvan is going to be remade in Telugu without many changes to the original.
Surender Reddy and his team tried to make some changes to the original to suit Ram Charan’s image but the actor is not convinced by them.
Ram Charan doesn’t want his image to be the reason for changing a near perfect script. He decided to stick with the original and after many months of brainstorming and story sessions, the director has scrapped all the changes made and going with the original script.
Except for slight changes here and there, Thani Oruvan is going to be remade as is. Rakul Preet Singh is roped in as the female lead. Interestingly she was the heroine in Charan and Surender’s last movies Bruce Lee and Kick 2 respectively.
So with the script being unchanged it would be interesting to see how Charan fans react to the film where the villain has an upper hand on the hero all the time.
