Samantha Ruth Prabhu was so candid today where she met the press to promote her upcoming film A Aa.
She sounded all excited about the film where she got to play an author backed role. She said only one in 10 films have some scope for the heroine and A Aa is such a special film for her.
Samantha stated that she is done with doing cliched heroine characters where she had to come up with few stock expressions for every scene.
“I can’t go to work without a challenge. I want to do films that drive me, films in which I am a part of the main plot,” Sam said.
She also added that there are certain films where she wondered what was going on when she watched the final cut. Did she take a dig at her own film Brahmotsavam or what?
Samantha was on the receiving end for Brahmotsavam as many criticized her routine expressions and antics in the film. Looks like Samantha is completely disgusted with herself for playing the same characters again and again.
She made it very clear that she wouldn’t do such cliched heroine roles anymore. Samantha is looking forward to A Aa, the remake of Kannada film U Turn and Vada Chennai in which she plays a slum girl.
