The moment an actor turns a star, they immediately hike their remuneration. Samantha was no different. She started quoted her price in crores, immediately after giving two hits.
In fact, her remuneration is on par with that of Anushka and Nayantara. But in a rather shocking move, Samantha has slashed her remuneration.
“I don’t want money. I want good roles,” says she. Well, Sammy insists if she likes her role and if the film is good, she wouldn’t mind working for a lesser price.
“If I get a script that would shock me, then I am willing to work for free in it,” says she adding that she wants to be creatively satisfied.
Apparently, when compared to her earlier films, she quoted a very small price for Manam.
“I don’t mind doing small films. If I feel it’s a good film, I have no problem acting in it. I will charge according to the film’s budget,” says this petite actress.
Now, the question that is making rounds is -- Manam is not a small film, why did Samantha cut down on her remuneration? Well, we will know only when the film releases.
For now, her price cut has become the talk of tinsel ville.
