Dasari Narayana Rao was down in the dumps not long ago. His financial position was very weak and he had no money to even buy diesel for his car. He had even defaulted on repayment on his car loan and the car was taken away by the bank.
But all this was in 2004. But thanks to lady luck, the congress party won enough seats to form a government at the centre with the help of the communists and other allies. Dasari also landed in a post as minister in the union cabinet.
Dasari did not look back after that. He struck gold literally and made crores of rupees. Some reports say that he made as much as 400 crores during his tenure as minister. He has now been dropped from the cabinet but people are still flocking at him and praising him, looking at his riches. Even a few cine folks those are behind him are due to his affluent riches. Dasari has one weak point. He falls flat for praises.
