It has been quite a long time since hero Nikhil's film came into the theatres. Almost three films were completed and ready for release. But no one knows when they will see the light of theatres.
'18 Pages', the film made on Geeta 2 Banner, is ready. Nothing big was spent on this and so the plight of this film is ok.
Another film, in the backdrop of London, produced by Bhogavilli Bapineedu is also ready to hit the screens. This film is also fine with regard to the budget.
But Karthikeya 2 made by Peoples Media has crossed its limits in investment. Initially Chandu Mondeti the director of this film took this project to Asian Sunil to make it at a budget of Rs 20 Cr.
Sunil Narang shunned the project stating that it won't be that viable. Then Chandu took the project to Peoples' Media stating that the budget won't cross Rs 15 Cr.
But so far Rs 25 Cr was burnt on this film as per the sources. Three more months may be consumed to complete the graphics job as per hearsay. There is an estimation that the budget may cross Rs 30 Cr by the time of release.
The film could make a recovery of Rs 14 Cr on the digital rights. So on theatrical business it should garner Rs 16 Cr producer's share. We have to see if this film can do that feat. If it really happens, then Nikhil's market goes up phenomenally.
