Parasuram is the new director on the block. He made his debut with the film ‘Yuvatha’ which did well and then he did ‘Anjaneyulu’ which bombed miserably. Now, there is news about him making rounds in the Film Nagar circles which could serve as a lesson to other budding directors.
It seems that during ‘Anjaneyulu’ shooting time, Parasuram was approached by producers for making movies. However, they were said to be shocked and miffed when the director demanded a whopping Rs 5 crores remuneration. Due to this, many producers backed off.
However, it seems that the famous producer ‘Chatrapathi’ Prasad had fixed a Rs 2 crore deal and gave Rs 25 lakhs advance. But after seeing ‘Anjaneyulu’ box office report, the producer is said to be asking the advance back. The moral of the story is – with one hit, if a director gets to feel he is Puri Jagannadh and becomes greedy then this would be the result.
