If the rumours doing rounds in the media circles are to be believed, YSR Congress party MLA and actress R K Roja is likely to get sacked from “Jabardast,” one of the most popular shows being aired by ETV.
According to these rumours, ETV management is under pressure from the powers-that-be to remove Roja from the show, because she continues to get popularity more than what she was getting as an MLA.
After the recent open confrontation with the TDP government and particularly Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu, there was pressure from the ruling party to remove her from the show. And finally, it is likely to happen soon, say these reports.
Another version doing rounds in the media circles is that the content of “Jabardast” has turned from bad to worse due to cheap jokes and vulgar comments, as a result of which the TRP ratings of the channel have plummeted in the last few weeks.
Even Roja’s expressions to the vulgar jokes, have not gone down well with the audiences. It is learnt she is being paid a remuneration of Rs 5 lakh per episode and that has failed to generate any additional value to the programme.
Source said the channel management might replace Roja with another glamorous and humorous actress like Meena or even Rambha. Let us watch out.
