Telugu film industry is completely in operation now. All big stars including the veterans are either back on sets or about to resume the shoot.
While a bunch of medium budget movies are gearing up for release from late December, film trade is eagerly waiting for some biggie to hit the marquee as soon as possible.
Only a big budget film’s release can restore normalcy with respect to theatrical business. Hence, distributors and exhibitors are waiting for a biggie to announce the release date.
Although Pawan Kalyan’s Vakeel Saab is likely to complete its filming part by December, producer Dil Raju is not keen on releasing it for Sankranthi.
Raju wants to wait until April hoping that the fear of coronavirus subsides by then.
Prabhas’s Radhe Shyam, Chiranjeevi’s Acharya, Balakrishna’s film with Boyapati, Venkatesh’s Narappa, and Nagarjuna’s Wild Dog are eyeing a summer release.
Rajamouli is confident that he could release #RRR by July, but it is likely to be pushed to October given the working style of the numero uno director.
Allu Arjun’s Pushpa is also eyeing an August release, but Sukumar is not known for wrapping up films that quickly.
Meanwhile, Sai Dharam Tej’s Solo Brathuke So Better will be the first notable film to hit the theaters post lockdown. It is slated for release in the third week of December.
