Despite giving three consecutive flops, Ram is quite clear that he will not compromise on his remuneration.
As per tinsel grapevine, he has fixed his rate at Rs 4 crore and is not budging on the amount.
It is heard this is scaring many producers who want to make a film with him. If they shell out the amount he is demanding, they will have to make a film to match up to his level and that would amount to Rs 10 to Rs 15 crore.
But the million dollar question is will they be able to make their money after putting in so much.
Had Ram’s career been on track and had he delivered good hits, then this was no big amount. But Ram made some wrong choices and worked with directors who could not deliver a hit.
The impact of his last film Ongole Gitta was such that his multi-starrer Masala did not manage even decent openings.
So, the Film Nagar insiders feel that Rs 2 crore is an ideal amount for Ram.
