The sequel to the blockbuster "iSmart Shankar," titled "Double iSmart," has been in production for some time now.
Director Puri Jagannadh is known for his adherence to release schedules and is credited with popularizing the trend of announcing release dates during filming, a practice now adopted by many other producers.
However, his plans have hit a roadblock this time around.
Despite initially announcing a release date of March 8, 2024, for "Double iSmart," filming has been temporarily halted due to unforeseen circumstances.
With "Double iSmart" no longer slated for release on that date, other films such as Vishwak Sen's "Gaami" and Gopichand's "Bhimaa" have secured the March 8 slot.
As a result, "Double iSmart" may now aim for a new release date, possibly in May or later.
