Ram Gopal Varma’s 'Rs 100 Cr Political Satire' After 'Rakta Charitra'
He is known as the eccentric genius and whatever may be the criticism, he has always walked along the path he has chosen. That is one reason why he has created a revolution in the art of movie making when he came up with the hard hitting movie ‘Shiva’ or the spine chilling film ‘Raatri’. The films changed the lives of many and later on, the pounding went on with hardcore movies like ‘Satya’ ‘Company’ ‘Dayyam’ etc.
Only one man is responsible for that, he is none other than Ram Gopal Varma and since ‘controversy’ happens to be his second name, he is currently gearing up for an ambitious project. Sources reveal that once Ramu wraps up the challenging ‘Rakta Charitra’ in three versions, he has decided to come up with a political satire.
Well, this is not just an ordinary fare as the buzz is that it will be made at a whopping budget of Rs 100 crores and will give a naked picture of the political stream in India in hilarious and satirical mode. Apparently, sources say that Ramu is going to show how politics has become like an industry and he will also be showing how politics is being chosen as a profession, a business, a source of income. The original purpose of politics- service to mankind and society has gone down the drains years ago and all that is left is this unacceptable but inevitable truth. It is heard that Ramu will be roping in actors from different states and will be coming up with a sequel also if necessary. The projections for this film are high and Ramu is said to have done some groundwork on the subject already.
Given his approach of showing things closer to reality, the chances are that many names might figure on the silver screen albeit on screen characters so it won’t be hard to guess who those esteemed leaders are. The news about Ramu’s venture has already begun to send shivers down the spine of few leaders it seems.
So now, they are already moving their pawns to see that this project doesn’t take off. Anyways, the ‘care a damn’ attitude of Ramu is said to be on from his end and once ‘Rakta Charitra’ is done, he has reportedly confirmed that this mega political satire will start and will hit the screens.
