Rakul Preet Singh who recently completed a test photo shoot for director A R Murugadoss’s big action drama starring Mahesh Babu will be signing the project officially in a day. Her name will be announced shortly.
Bollywood’s leading actress Parineeti Chopra has already signed the movie and taken advance. Now she is being replaced by Rakul Preet Singh. The main reason, as the industry insiders say, the producers would be saving nearly Rs 2.5 Cr by taking in Rakul Preet in the place of Parineeti.
After the colossal flop of “Brahmotsavam”, the producers have started reducing the movie’s budget. In the initial stages (before the release of “Brahmotsavam”), the budget was Rs 110 Cr. Now it is being reduced to make it effectively viable project. Hence Parineeti Chopra is dropped off as the producers have to pay her Rs 3.50 Cr as remuneration.
On the other hand, Rakul Preet Singh takes Rs 1 cr. To save the money for production, Rakul is chosen say our sources.
