Pushpa 2: The Rule, starring Allu Arjun, is undeniably one of the biggest films currently in production in the Indian film industry.
The latest update about this massive project reveals that the budget is set to increase, surpassing the initially planned cost of 350 crores and joining the ranks of other big-budget films like RRR, Adipurush, and Kalki 2898 AD.
Director Sukumar and Allu Arjun are fully committed to making Pushpa 2 a grand spectacle, considering the immense hype surrounding the film. Multiple reshoots are being conducted during each shooting schedule to ensure a top-notch final product.
Initially reported to have a budget of around 350 crores, the latest reports suggest that the cost of Pushpa 2 could potentially rise to 700 crores. While this figure may seem a bit extreme, a budget in the range of 500 crores appears more plausible.
If this turns out to be true, Pushpa 2 will become the fourth Indian film to surpass the milestone of a 500-crore budget. So far, only RRR, Adipurush, and Kalki 2898 AD have achieved this feat.
Directed by Sukumar, the film marks Allu Arjun's return in a titular role. It is being shot on a grand scale and is planned for a big pan-India release in Telugu, Hindi, Tamil, Kannada, and Malayalam languages.
The release date for the Pushpa sequel is scheduled for August 15, 2024.
