Director Puri Jagannadh’s reputation for delivering promises continues to spark controversy.
Despite a string of box-office failures and criticisms over financial mismanagement, Puri and his partner Charmme convinced producers Niranjan Reddy and Chaitanya Reddy to invest heavily in 'Double iSmart'.
Despite Puri's questionable track record and ongoing struggles of previous buyers like Warangal Srinu, the producers fell for Puri’s assurances, leading to massive financial losses.
Now, Niranjan and Chaitanya Reddy claim Puri and Charmme have failed to honor their commitments.
Instead of returning funds, Puri-Charmme convey the Nairanjan-Chaitanya duo that they will make a film to recover the losses but are demanding monthly payments for personal expenses and half of any future profits.
To recover losses, they are also advised to re-release Puri’s old films, sharing half the earnings with him.
Adding to their woes, Puri allegedly ignored tax deduction laws during payments. When asked for the withheld TDS amounts, there was no response, leaving producers helpless and betrayed.
They say that they are deceived by the stark difference between Puri’s promises before the film’s release and his actions afterward.
Both Niranjan and Chaitanya Reddy are expressing their concerns and sharing their worries with their closed ones.
