The second category comes for fame. They have money but they just come for fame and recognition of that celebrity status. The third category is somewhat genuine as they come for sheer passion. They are hardcore cinema lovers. But here is the difference. The first two, if they lose money, they don’t really feel bad about it.
They are not very serious about moviemaking business and they don’t sustain a lot. But the third category is the ones who get into the mire and get spoiled by directors. Ideally, the directors say Rs 3 crores budget at first but by the time the film is completed, it gets to Rs 5 crores. However passion the producer may have, he has to get some funds from financiers but market rate changes and losses will come. So that’s why passionate producers are quitting as the directors are exploiting their weakness for cinema. This should be stopped.
