Overseas buyers are hoping that Express Raja would be a big hit in US like Bhale Bhale Magadivoi.
Neither Sharwanand is a crowd puller nor Merlapaka Gandhi is a well known director! Despite being aware of it overseas buyer has bought Express Raja for 1.3 crore on Minimum Guarantee basis.
Trade believes that the distributor has over bet on this movie probably because of the track record of UV Creations that has made movies like Mrichi, Run Raja Run and Bhale Bhale Magadivoi.
Rs 1.3 crore may not be a big risk if the movie clicks well but it would leave the buyer in huge losses if the movie fails to make an impression.
Express Raja is getting good offers in the domestic circuit as well. UV Creations banner value and Sharwanand’s recent form is backed up by Venkatadri Express director and not to forget the promising promos of the film.
Makers are looking to release the movie during the last week of January as the biggies will fight it out for Pongal.
