Normally any hit Telugu movie is remade in Tamil.
But the strange part is that the Tamil version is again dubbed into Telugu and released. This is a peculiar phenomenon that is continuing down South.
Salman Khan’s Dabang was remade into Telugu as Gabbar Singh. This movie was also made in Tamil as ‘Osti’ and had Simbu and Richa Gangopadhyay in the lead roles.
It released in Tamil ahead of Gabbar Singh in Telugu. After Gabbar Singh, Dabang itself was dubbed in Telugu.
Now Osti is being dubbed into Telugu. what is the reason for this?
The makers intend to cash in from selling the satellite rights of the movie by just spending money for the dubbing rights.
Otherwise what’s the point in dubbing these films?
