The hot news in Bollywood is that Mr Perfectionist Aamir Khan has signed a deal with online e-commerce site Snapdeal.com.
Well, stars do ads all the time and surely that is no big news. But what is BIG news is that he will be getting a whopping Rs 10 crores for a 1 minute ad. And there are interesting versions about why he gave his nod for the ad.
When it comes to ads, Aamir might be a popular choice, but he is choosy and picky about them. In the past, he had done ads for Titan watches and Incredible India.
Apparently, he decided to do the ad as Snapdeal is an e-commerce site and since they don’t sell products that are harmful to the society at large.
Okay, the other detail here is that Aamir will be getting anything between Rs 8 to 10 crores for the ad. For the company, this is no big amount as it is doing huge volumes of business these days.
All they want is a big star like Aamir to promote their sight. And as the dialogue in one of Aamir’s film goes, ‘all is well’ as long as both parties go home happy.
