Does the much-hyped film “Jai Bolo Telangana,” scheduled to be release on February 4 have any obscene scenes?
The answer is, according to sources connected with the film. The Censor Board of Film Certification observed that there were a few obscene scenes and vulgar dialogues in the film and hence, raised objections. Director N Shankar, however, reportedly argued that the so-called “obscene” words are part of typical Telangana slang and their removal would disturb the nativity of the film. As far as the scenes are concerned, they are much below the level of vulgarity being shown in other films like “Wanted” etc, he argued.
The Censor Board officials are believed to have okayed them, but given it “A” certificate, stating that the film can be viewed only by people with matured minds. They also asked Shankar to add a “disclaimer” in the beginning of the movie so that the film could be understood in right perspective.
For those who have come late, Jai Bolo Telangana turned out to be a typical love story, though it has been made in the backdrop of Telangana movement.
