There seems to be the season for inter-caste marriages in the family of megastar-turned-politician Chiranjeevi.
His younger daughter Srija created a flutter in the film, media and political circles by eloping and marrying a Brahmin boy Sirish Bharadwaj (it is a different matter that the marriage is now on rocks, thanks to Chrianjeevi’s timely intervention).
In fact, his elder daughter also had almost married an upcoming Brahmin hero, but somehow, the marriage did not materialize, again thanks to Chiranjeevi.
Recently, young hero Allu Arjun, nephew of Chiranjeevi and son of leading producer Allu Arjun, married a Reddy girl – Sneha Reddy. It was a love marriage which his parents did not accept for a long time before succumbing to the love affair.
And now, the latest buzz is that Chirajeevi’s only son Ram Charan Teja, affectionately called in the family as Cherry, has fallen in love for Upasana Kamineni, grand daughter of Pratap C Reddy, chairman of multi-thousand crore Apollo Hospitals group and daughter of Shobhana Kamineni, managing director of the group.
Though both the families had denied the same in the past, it is now turning out to be true, as they are now frequenting each other’s houses of late. According to the rumours, Cherry and Upasana are likely to get engaged in November and the marriage is likely to be solemnized a month later.
