Young star Nithiin is ready to arrive with two back to back releases. However, it appears that the budget has gone overboard due to Corona or maybe other reasons.
‘Check’ from Bhavya and ‘Rang De’ from Sithara entertainments are his two projects.
Reports say ‘Rang De’ has crossed 30 crores while ‘Check’ has touched 34 crores.
‘Rang De’ took 22 months from start to finish with more than 60 working days. It has names like P C Sreeram, Keerthy Suresh, Devi Sri Prasad so all put together the budget crossed 30 crores.
For ‘Check’, just the jail set has reportedly cost 4 to 5 crores. Here also, the likes of Yeleti Chandrasekhar, Rakul Preet Singh are there so meter was running high.
Added to that, it had more than 100 working days and it took nearly 2 years for completion. So, it has reportedly touched 34 crores.
It seems thoughts are on to go for a theatrical or OTT release. It is heard that ‘Rang De’ is expecting 38 to 40 crores from OTT while negotiations are still on for ‘Check’.
Post production for both movies will commence shortly and it remains to be seen whether they will go for theatrical release during Sankranthi or hit the OTTs.
