Nayanatara has become the costliest heroine in South with 'Anaamika' (Nee Enge En Anbe in Tamil). Sources close to the unit have revealed that the makers have paid a whopping amount of 2.5 crores to Nayanatara for both Telugu and Tamil versions.
Nayanatara is one of the leading actresses in South and she is regarded as the best performer when compared to her contemporaries.
Last seen opposite to Nagarjuna in Greekuveerudu, Nayanatara has appeared in hit films like Raja Rani, Arrambam and Idhu Kathirvelan Kadhal in Tamil.
Anaamika was supposed to hit the theatres in the month of March but the makers have delayed due to the reasons better known to them.
Sekhar Kammula is directing the film and it has been reported that the unit was disappointed with their leading lady as she didn't turn up for the audio event.
