National Record: Pushpa 2 to Surpass Baahubali 2?

National Award-winning actor Allu Arjun's Pushpa 2: The Rule has broken several records and set new benchmarks at the box office.

Close to a month since its release, the makers have unveiled a poster claiming a worldwide gross collection of Rs 1799 crore.

Officially, this figure is just Rs 11 crore short of Baahubali 2: The Conclusion's worldwide gross of Rs 1810 crore.

With an additional Rs 12 crore, Pushpa 2 is poised to surpass Baahubali 2, securing the second spot among the highest-grossing Indian films worldwide, leaving the top position to Dangal.

However, within India, Pushpa 2: The Rule has claimed the number one spot as the highest-grossing Indian film domestically.

While Dangal holds the top position globally, this is largely due to its collections from China and other international markets. Until now, Baahubali 2: The Conclusion had occupied the top spot in terms of domestic collections.

The film Pushpa 2: The Rule is still running in theaters, with collections from the Hindi belt continuing to contribute, although revenues in Telugu states and other parts of South India have slowed to minimal levels.

Many speculate that the makers of Pushpa 2: The Rule may aim to dethrone Dangal by extending its run in international markets like China, Japan, and other regions, adding to its global gross and potentially claiming the top position worldwide.

But here is a twist. While the makers have already released Rs 1799 Cr poster, the Sacnilk.com which has been tracking the worldwide collections has reported the worldwide gross of Pushpa 2 The Rule as Rs 1679 Cr as on 2nd Jan.
