Natural star Nani’s latest film “Gang Leader” that hit the silver screen on September 13 has completed 10 days of its run.
And it is now officially declared a flop. The movie’s collections started nose-diving from the first Monday itself, but distributors hoped that it might pick up during the second weekend.
However, Varun Tej’s “Valmiki” released the subsequent weak dealt a big dent on Gang Leader’s collection box further. The film is bringing losses to all parties involved in the movie in all areas.
Sold for Rs 29 crore worldwide, the movie will leave the makers and distributors in losses to the tune of Rs 8 to 10 crore. After “Krishnarjuna Yuddham”, this is Nani’s biggest loss-making movie.
Regarded as the most bankable star by the trade, Nani’s movies of late have been turning out to be risky projects.
Though his previous film “Jersey” received rave reviews, the talk that his films are not generating minimum guarantee profits is gaining ground these days.
May be Nani’s overconfidence is playing a negative impact on his decision making.
