Nandita was last seen in the hit film Prema Katha Chitram. Since then she hasn’t had a release. But many in the industry continue to be haunted by her role apparently.
We are told she is referred to as ‘deyyam pilla’ in the industry. Some say after Jyothika, Nandita is one actress who could do justice to the horror genre. But again, that has become a problem for Nandita as many producers are not able to look at her as a potential heroine.
Right now she has only one film on hand in which she is cast opposite Sumanth Ashwin titled Lovers. Nandita is hopeful the film will give her more opportunities to prove herself in future.
In fact there is a little story in Film Nagar which goes like this: Nandita was returning from a shoot and she was travelling on the Outer Ring Road. Sitting in the back seat of her car, she was trying to catch up on her sleep.
Due to wind, hair fell on to her face and the driver who saw her from the rear view mirror apparently got so scared that he stopped the car on one side. He then stopped the car of another unit member and asked one of the unit members to sit by him when he was driving.
Well, we are told that there are people who get scared when they see Nandita during night time. Now, while it is stretching things a bit too far, it does sound amusing.
