Though tall statements are made by cine folks that they do cinema for the love of the craft and passion towards the art, the real truth is something else. It is all about business, making money and have some good revenue out of it. But then, it looks like that has not been the case with Nagarjuna for various reasons.
Apparently, Nag seems to be going in a one way traffic. If one watches his career closely, ever since his film ‘Don’ Nagarjuna has been spending from his pocket for his films but not earning anything at the box office. The money has been going either for arranging the release or to fill the deficit he is paying from his pocket.
Of course, it is not a major deterrent for someone like him because all his earnings are from other sources like real estate and hotel business but not films. In a way, it can be said that films are just for his identity sake from few years. Maybe his new movie ‘Greeku Veerudu’ might change his fortunes, let’s see.
