Divorces have become normal in Indian society as well. The Telugu film industry has seen numerous divorces.
Almost all the leading families of Tollywood have one or two such instances. But the Akkineni family is altogether different.
Right from Nagarjuna, all generations of the members in the Akkineni family went through the mess of divorces cases. A lot of people in Film Nagar are now pointing that the family must be cursed.
Nagarjuna first married Lakshmi, the daughter of veteran producer D Ramanaidu. Naga Chaitanya is their son. But they filed for divorce due to differences. He later married Amala, the actress of several of his hits such as ‘Shiva’.
Nagarjuna’s nephew Sumanth married actress Keerthy Reddy in a grand ceremony. But the inter-caste marriage didn’t last long either.
After separating from Keerthy Reddy, Sumanth has remained single. His sister Supriya also got separated from her husband.
Naga Chaitanya and Samantha’s marriage also ended in just four years, and they have filed for divorce. Although Akhil Akkineni is yet to get married, he had already called off an engagement.
