The All-Akkineni starrer Manam was supposed to release for Ugadi. Nagarjuna himself announced that he is targeting to release the film for Telugu New Year.
But Manam release has been postponed to mid May as per latest updates. This season is already packed with biggies like Legend, Race Gurram and Vikrama Simha fighting it out.
Nagarjuna doesn’t want to take on these biggies and hamper the collections of Manam. He is aware of people’s focus on politics at the moment.
Releasing a family entertainer like Manam during elections period is not good for its prospects at the ticket windows. So Nagarjuna decided to hold the movie until counting process is done.
Manam will be releasing only after May 15th. The exact release date isn’t finalized yet. Akkineni fans expected Autonagar Surya to release in March.
But that film is still struggling due to financial troubles. Manam will be releasing prior to Autonagar Surya, said sources. Hopefully Manam’s success may help ANS to find a way out.
