It was announced yesterday, on Nagarjuna's birthday, that actor Nagarjuna has joined Rajinikanth in his upcoming film, Coolie.
The film is directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj while Shruti Haasan and Sathyaraj are in important roles. It is one of the most awaited Tamil films of 2025.
Insider sources say that Nagarjuna is being paid a hefty Rs 24 crore for playing the role of a don in this film. An official poster was released on Thursday, revealing Nagarjuna's character name as Simon.
Nagarjuna also tweeted, addressing the director Lokesh Kanagaraj, saying, "Thank uuuu Loki! I have been wanting to work with you since Kaithi! Absolutely excited for our journey ahead. Lokesh! Looking forward to sharing screen space with Thalaivar!!"
