Young music sensation Anirudh has become a craze for Telugu heroes. But for producers, it's exhausting, and for directors, it's nerve-wracking—mainly due to the uncertainty of when he will deliver content.
Those who have worked with him say that even repeated follow-ups get no response. However, Anirudh insists on delivering high-quality content and a crazy background score.
Another observation is that the quality he offers for Tamil films is rarely matched in Telugu films. Yet, in every Telugu project he takes up, there’s always a hook song or background score that stays with the audience for a long time.
His growing popularity reflects in his skyrocketing remuneration.
Reports suggest that Anirudh now charges Rs 15 crores, which is also his fee for Nani and Srikanth Odela’s Paradise.
In fact, even if producers explore other language music directors with a unique style, the budget difference is at least Rs 10-12 crores. Still, the directors or heroes don’t allow for alternatives when they fix on someone.
That doesn’t mean Anirudh’s name alone will bring massive revenue from audio rights.
Even the name of the hero, the scale, and the hype around the film matter a lot while selling the audio rights. But Anirudh charges the same, whether it's for a bigger star or a mid-range hero.
