The bug for glamour and glitz seems to be unending for our folks, especially the girls. But now, it looks like more than the girls, it is their mothers who are quite eager to flash their girls to the directors in the hope of getting opportunities and find break in the film industry.
A new trend seems to have begun and it seems that mothers of beautiful girls are now targeting directors. They are bringing their daughters who are barely 18 or 19 and are urging the directors to give a chance to act. In a way, it is looking like the mothers are keen than daughters about getting into the film circuit.
Given the competition and the ‘compromises’ that happen in the industry, few directors are said to be surprised as to how the mothers are resorting to such things. Earlier this used to be a one off situation but now the graph has been rising and this is surprising a few. Some mothers are openly ‘offering’ their daughters to directors seeking for break as heroine. And the daughters are also happily going along with director and wooing him. The financial background of all such mothers is certainly not very bad but they are aiming at big money. Hence this situation is prevailing, say observers.
