One film becomes a hit and the actor becomes famous. No wonder many aspire to become heroes.
And if you have a godfather in the industry, then the entry becomes very easy. At least, it assures you of a break. One such actor is Sairam Shankar who happens to be Puri Jagannadh’s brother.
He has recently acted in Dillunnodu, which has a storyline reminiscent of the ’80s. In the film, he has two wives, a formula that was used time and again by late EVV.
But Sairam Shankar fails to do justice to his role. He is rather lame in dialogue delivery and little said the better about his expressions. One cannot help wondering how such a bad actor can be a hero.
In fact, Puri had wanted someone from his family to come into films.
So, he introduced Sairam Shankar. But his thick East Godavari district accent and comic physique do not help his cause.
Despite this, he has acted in quite a few films since his debut. We hope that Sairam Shankar learns from his mistakes and fine tunes his acting skills for his next project.
Else, the audience will put him in the hit list.
