Many heroine once they are successful down South target Bollywood for obvious reasons.
Bollywood is the largest film industry of India and success there would automatically one a household name across India. However, not everyone can become a Sridevi or a Hema Malini.
One such heroine who made an excellent debut in Bollywood with ‘Ghajini’ was Asin. This film catapulted her to overnight stardom and Asin decided to focus only on Bollywood. Though she did do other films subsequently, they did not make her quite the star that she was hoping to become.
The current situation is that Asin has no offers on hand there and is seriously considering coming back to the South which made her a star in the first place.
Asin might get the leading role opposite Madhavan in a Tamil movie and another role opposite a senior Telugu hero.
The big question is whether she can hold her own against the new crop of heroines down South who filled the void created by Asin.
