Director Krish may have jumped for joy when he got to direct Balakrishna's 100th film thanks to his script Gautamiputra Satakarni. But the young director now finds himself in a lot of pressure.
Gautamiputra Satakarni is a 2017 Telugu, epic historical action film produced by Saibabu Jagarlamudi & Y Rajeev Reddy on First Frame Entertainment banner and written and directed by Krish.
Starring Shriya Saran as the female lead paired opposite Balakrishna for the second time, and music composed by Chirantan Bhatt, the film is based on life history of 2nd century CE, Satavahana Brahmin emperor Gautamiputra Satakarni.
Naturally, the movie has a wide canvas and is being made on a huge budget. It would be shot in Morocco, Rajasthan etc. But now, Balakrishna has reportedly told director Krish that the movie should be ready for a Sankranti release at any cost as Chiranjeevi’s 150th film is also making headway and might steal the thunder.
Now, if the movie was a standard commercial film, Krish could probably get it ready, but this is a film with a large canvas and the hero happens to be Balayya famous for his temper.
Can he make Balayya see reason or will he compromise and complete the film?
