The film industry is dominated to a large extent by the Kamma community. While in politics, it is both the Kammas and the Reddys who have ruled the roost, in the acting department. It has been largely a Kamma show all these days.
There are many actors from this community in the industry but for Kamma fanatics, some are more equal than others. So it comes as no surprise that actors like Mahesh Babu are totally ignored.
For many Kammas, it is only the Nandamuri family that is like KDM jewelry. Only the family members of NTR command a huge and loyal fan following. That way Jr. NTR is extremely lucky as he was born in the Nandamuri family. He has the same craze in Kamma community as a Balakrishna or a Harikrishna. Just observe, Mahesh Banu although is on the top, Kamma community doesn't consider him to be their messiah.
