The debacle of much-hyped 'Kabali' has reportedly made Suriya to reconsider about working with the director Pa Ranjith. He is said to have told the director: "Let’s work together for a big project some other time." So, it is not happening.
Before the release of Rajinikanth starrer “Kabali”, Ranjith signed to do a movie for Studio Green with Suriya as hero. Since Ranjith is very close to Karthi, Suriya agreed to do. Ranjith also confirmed this to Telugu media during the promotions of “Kabali”.
But “Kabali” despite huge hype around the collections turned out to be damp squib in Telugu and Hindi land. The Tamil version has fared rather well but overall the movie is a profitable project to the producer but a loss venture to exhibitors in all major areas.
So, this reportedly made Suriya not to work with Ranjith whose ideas are mostly not suitable for mass audiences. Suriya has already pushed Trivikram’s movie to the next year and he is also put Ranjith’s movie on the back burner.
