Actress-turned-part-time politician Jeevitha may be down but not out. She appeared to be totally unperturbed by the criminal defamation suit filed against her and her husband Rajasekhar by producer Allu Aravind in connection with the allegations leveled against Chiranjeevi Blood Bank.
Jeevitha told the media on Friday that she was not scared to face any court cases.
“I stand by my allegations against the Chiranjeevi Blood Bank. And I will prove them in court of law and we will fight the legal battle to any extent,” she said.
The actor-couple accused Chiranjeevi of selling blood donated by the poor people and making money.
“The Chiranjeevi blood bank is not a charitable institution, despite securing more than 4,000 square yards of land free of cost from the government. It is an out and out commercial blood bank like any other such organization,” the couple said.
The government appointed a committee to look into the allegations and after inquiry, the committee gave a clean chit to the blood bank. Subsequently, Allu Aravind filed a criminal defamation suit against Jeevitha and Rajasekhar for maligning the image of the megastar.
