Many of the fan following of film actor Pawan Kalyan feel that he is not adept in managing the media and securing publicity for his films. They say that whenever a new film starring him is released, he fails to do the required PR exercise to get maximum publicity from newspapers and magazines. His fans feel that since Pawan Kalyan does not do much publicity campaign, his films often fail to make it big at the box office.
They have also cited some examples in support of their argument. But what one fails to understand is whether publicity campaign will make the difference if the acting is not good or the film is not produced well. Of course, publicity is a must to achieve the desired results. But publicity will not always work wonders. One should be a good actor. In olden days there was no publicity mechanism except radio publicity. The newspapers too did not have colour printing. But most of the olden days films are a hit, still they are admired. What ultimately matters is good production and good acting. Though publicity may make a difference, it will not bring in the desired results if the production is bad.
