Telugu industry has a dearth of good technicians and from time to time this hits you on the face.
Since the industry writers are unable to churn out good stories, our heroes are forever looking for stories in other languages.
Hits of other languages are top on demand list and our top stories usually try to grab the rights of films which suit their image and physique.
One star who tops this list is senior star Venkatesh who is spending a lot of time to find good stories so that he gets to try something different.
The audience has already shown that they are not keen on watching him play romantic action hero, so Venky is trying his best to pick plots which his suit his age without compromising on his image.
Already, he acted in three remake films, two of which became huge hits at the box office. So, we are told that Venkatesh is now eyeing Jilla which was a super hit in Tamil.
Incidentally, the rights of Jilla are with R B Choudhary and buying them off Choudhary will not be a big problem for Suresh Productions.
Well, here comes the next twist. Apparently, Kalyanram who has just had his career’s first hit in Pataas, is also said to be eyeing Jilla as it is a multi-starrer.
His plan, we are told, is to remake the film with him and his uncle Balakrishna.
While Kalyanram is planning to play the part of Vijay in the Telugu version, he wants to convince his uncle Balakrishna to play the part played by Mohanlal in the original.
However, many in the industry feel that Kalyanram may have to let go of the thought as it is next to impossible to buy a film competing with Suresh Productions. Secondly, it is equally impossible to get his uncle Balakrishna to play the part.
So, in all likelihood, Venky might get the chance after all!
