Hyderabad: Directors are finding it tough to get the dates of stars who prefer only those with a success track. Therefore, when promising and young directors are approaching the emerging heroes who are slowly making a name for themselves, they are facing a strange situation.
Apparently, the young heroes are more likely to approve a script if it has scope for two heroines in it. In other words, they are more interested in their female counterparts than the script.
Is it no wonder then that many from the young brigade are finding it difficult to score a success despite having the odd success.
Says one young director on condition of anonymity, "Most of these young heroes hail from film families or rich families. They are financially secure. Therefore, they do not pay the same attention to story and script like someone who has had to work hard to get recognition in the industry. And that make all the difference between a successful career and a failed one."
