Unlike heroes who have to deal only with hits and flops, heroines in the industry have to deal with a variety of issues. And one such issue was shown by Krishna Vamsi in Khadgam.
In the film, a young girl played by Sangeeta aspires to be a heroine. However, when she does not get roles, her mother encourages her to take to casting couch and her daughter gets the break.
Well, while the story shocked the audiences at the time, one cannot deny the existence of casting couch in the industry.
Now, a new story doing round in Film Nagar is of a similar mother who is managing the 'dates' of her daughter for a price. Apparently, she charges Rs 10 lakhs for her daughter to spend time with big people.
Well, while films are no longer taboo, unfortunately casting couch continues to be a reality for one section of girls who enter the industry.
