Arguably, Gabbar Singh director's very next film Ramayya Vasthavayya has disappointed many than it impressed. With his latest release getting poor response from critics, definitely focus shifts to 'Captain of the ship' Harish Shankar.
Though he might have had a blockbuster hit in form of Gabbar Singh, what holds him back so that not to bask in glory for the film is two things- Pawan Kalyan and the other thing is that it was a remake of Dabangg but not a original. Yes, all credit goes to Pawan and that's nothing new. When there is Pawan Kalyan in a film, all glory goes to him if the movie gets thumbs up. And the same even happened with his recent release Atharintiki Daaredhi as well.
So, what's the big question is where does Harish Shankar stands? And does he expected this result before? People who are watching him closely say that Harish has apparently expected more or less this kind of response in prior. But what he believe in was NTR's charisma could bail out the film and its weak plot. And no, it didn't happen.
Suspecting it, Harish has opened up that he is going to direct Allu Arjun in his next even before anyone has asked him about his next plans. What's irony is that Harish has admitted that he is yet to narrate story to Bunny. Definitely, this is raising serious questions about the director's confidence on his film. Isn't it?
The industry fact is that Harish-Bunny's combo depends on the fate of Ramayya Vastavayya. If the movie gets good talk, definitely Bunny would be keen to do a film with Harish, else it may get scrapped or may get delayed. Also, Bunny has line up of projects.
The questions that prop up in the mind of common man is Why Harish Shankar has made the news public- that he is planning to direct Arjun in his next? Isn't that sending wrong signals that Harish is not sure on the success of Ramayya? So that, he has made it out and putting pressure on Bunny?
Only Harish could answer this. After directing Ravi Teja, Pawan Kalyan and NTR, Mirapakay maker is now planning to rope in Allu Arjun for his next. Only time will tell how things work out. Hope Harish would not bogged down and moves on.
