Kamilini Mukherjee has deep regrets for her sparing much time to director Vamshi. Their combination proved not so great, although ‘Gopi Gopika Godavari’ could collect well in many centers.
Having come to know Vamshi was endowed with aesthetic eye and he would enrich the glamour of the heroine in his films, she signed for this film. Usually the shooting part of the heroine in any Telugu film will be finished in 25 days. But Vamshi took 48 days to portray Kamilini.
Had she not been with him, she would have finished two films during this period. After the film was out, she felt that decision was wrong, says a source. Her looks appeared more graceful in Sekhar Kammula’s ‘Godavari’ than Vamshi’s ‘Gopi Gopika Godavari’, most of her fans have told her.
