We often come across a number of victims of sun stroke during scorching summer, especially those belonging to poorer sections, agriculture labourers and workers.
We also come across victims of “son stroke” among affluent sections: those who suffer huge losses because of spoilt sons, who want to bask in the glory of their fathers. Such son strokes are very common in politics and film industry. We have seen several such son stroke victims like Dasari Narayana Rao, K Raghavendra Rao, K S Rama Rao, Mohan Babu and A M Ratnam.
But strangely, top producer Ashwini Dutt is suffering from daughter stroke. He has no sons and all that he has is three daughters. Once considered to be a golden hand in Telugu film industry, Ashwini Dutt has been facing losses ever since his daughters began poking their nose in his film production. He established a production house – Swapna Movies – in the name of his youngest daughter Swapna and all the films made under this banner were miserable flops. Later, he established another production unit called “Three Angels” in the name of his three daughters and produced a couple of films like “Baanam” and “Om Shanti” which also bombed at the box office.
Ashwini Dutt’s woes compounded with his daughter Swapna launching a cable-based television channel “Local TV” a couple of years ago and it has now virtually become a white elephant for Dutt.
