Even while the scripting session is under way, director Harish Shankar approached heroine Pooja Hegde to rope her in for opposite Allu Arjun.
Totally impressed with her look in the trailer of Ashtosh Gowarikar's "Mohenjo Daro", he immediately finalised her to take in his film. But she didn't sign the movie as she expected "Mohenjo Daro" would become huge hit and hoped to demand huge remuneration. So he asked them to approach her after the release of "Mohenjo Daro".
But the film bit the dust. It was one of the biggest disasters in Bollywood's history. Now Pooja Hegde has no craze.
Reports say Allu Arjun and Harish Shankar are now not in favour of meeting her. Even the trade feels that she doesn't bring much value addition to the film, as she is hardly popular in Tollywood although she did two movies in Telugu.
She began her career in films like "Mukunda" and "Oka Laila Kosam", both these Tollywood movies also flopped. So, she has delivered three flops in a row including "Mohenjo Daro".
Due to sentiment also, the makers are advised by the team members not to go for Pooja Hegde as she doesn't have luck.
Buzz is that they are now looking for another hot and happening Tollywood heroine to rope in. At the movie launch event also producer Dil Raju didn't announce the name of heroine although they revealed the details of all other major cast and crew members.
So, Pooja Hegde will be out from this film. Which heroine will come in her place? We have to wait and see.
