In the last decade, the influx of Film artists, singers and performers to the US has increased and in fact most of the times heavy lobbying takes place to get there. But right now, it is heard that the desperation has increased more and all of them are hoping they would be called to US at this moment.
The reason for that is the increased dollar value. Generally it is heard that an artist gets paid anywhere between $1000 to $ 5000 depending on the experience and demand. Many keep trying for the 10 year visa so that they can visit as frequent as possible and make money.
With dollar value going up, the cine folks are doing everything possible to visit USA now. They are also hoping that even NRIs also show same generosity without reducing the budget and pay them like what they were paying in regular times. Well, the ball is in the NRIs court now.
