Telugu superstar Allu Arjun and director Atlee are joining forces for an ambitious sci-fi project, tentatively titled AA22xA6.
Produced by Sun Pictures with a massive budget of over ₹600 crore, the film’s announcement has already set the industry abuzz.
According to the latest reports, the makers have finalized Mrunal Thakur as the female lead opposite Allu Arjun.
The actress reportedly underwent a look test at a Mumbai studio yesterday for one of the film’s three leading roles.
In addition to Mrunal, the team is in advanced talks with Janhvi Kapoor and Deepika Padukone for the other two key roles.
While Janhvi is said to be nearly finalized, negotiations with Deepika are still underway, with expectations that she will come on board soon.
AA22xA6 is envisioned as a high-concept, VFX-heavy action film set in a parallel universe, with Allu Arjun playing the first double role of his career.
Pre-production is already underway, and the makers are planning to begin filming by August or September this year.
